2019 Adventures

2019 is the year of wonder for us…..of slowing down, decrease attachments and embracing every sense that comes our way…every smell, every texture, every emotion, every new experience…pull the joy from it, be grateful for the lessons that were taught to us through those senses, be better for them and then leave them behind.

This month, the boys and I leave for 4 weeks to head west so the boys can taste the salt air of Oregon, smell the Redwoods along Hwy 1, hike the rugged and incredible Sierras, hear the wind across Death Valley and Joshua Tree and so much more.

As we prepare with family changes being made to make the 5,000 mile journey more comfortable for us, we are counting down the days until we head out! One of the upgrades we made for this trip was a new, larger truck! I will miss Sierra, my Toyota Tacoma, as she has taken us across the country from one end to another, but it is time with 6ft. tall sons now to get something bigger, a Toyota Tundra is now our new adventure mobile. We are waiting for the new ARE shell to come in from the factory, running boards and a grille to be installed and then we are good to go! I already started ordering the sticker replacements that I had on Sierra to put on the new shell. Fresh truck, fresh year and fresh adventures lie ahead!!!!

Truly this will be a trip of a lifetime that I hope the boys will reflect back on someday with fondness and a smile…time with each other, time with me, and time with their dad before time get too far away from us.

Live an abundant life, strive to give to others, be present in the moment, having constant gratitude…goals! Here we go friends!!!
